Seoul Fashion Week (서울패션위크) takes place twice yearly — March/April and October — and has grown from a regional showcase into one of Asia's most internationally attended fashion events. Here's how to make the most of it.
2026 Dates
- Spring/Summer Season: March 16-21, 2026
- Fall/Winter Season: October 13-18, 2026
Both seasons are held primarily at Dongdaemun Design Plaza (DDP), the architecturally spectacular Zaha Hadid-designed building in central Seoul.
Attending Shows
Official runway shows require industry credentials or invitations. However:
- Some designers offer limited public tickets through their brand websites
- The DDP exterior and plaza become free public fashion spectacles during the week
- Several off-schedule shows by emerging designers are open to enthusiastic walk-ins
Korean Designers to Watch
- Blindness — Dark, conceptual, internationally collected
- Rokh — South Korean designer based in Paris, now also showing in Seoul
- Museum of Peace — Streetwear with historical Korean imagery
- Minjukim — Exuberant, maximalist, frequently celebrity-worn
💡 Street Style Tip: The street style photography outside DDP during fashion week is world-class. Arrive 1-2 hours before any show's scheduled start time for the best people-watching.
The After-Party Scene
Fashion week brings Seoul's nightlife to a fever pitch. Itaewon and Hannam-dong clubs see major fashion events nightly. Check brand Instagram stories for event announcements.
